Having a mixture of thought, background and experience sparks innovation and creativity. When it comes to consulting, this becomes even bigger. The whole point of consulting services is to bring in new perspectives to an organisation and find new solutions to challenges. After all, customer bases are broad so more than one view is needed to be successful.
We heard from Kate Glazebrook, Co-Founder and Chair of Applied, a platform that has redesigned the hiring process to remove bias. Drawing on Kate's years of experience in behavioural science and social policy, as well as some recent research from Applied, we discuss factors of building diverse consulting teams.
Covering:
Applied's research into improving racial and ethnic diversity in STEM(M)
What impact does debiasing your hiring have?
The importance of diverse teams
Barriers to building diversity and tools to get there
